One-minute exercises to master beginning guitar music notes

Notebusters: Beginner Guitar is a note-reading workbook designed for music students learning to play the guitar. The workbook teaches music notes that frequently occur in beginning guitar sheet music and is printed on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, similar to the size of standard sheet music.

Beginner Guitar Note-Reading Music Workbook

Master 13 treble staff music notes common in beginner guitar sheet music

Notebusters helps beginner guitarists gain confidence reading and playing sheet music. This workbook also covers notes that are common in beginner ukulele sheet music.

A must-have supplemental tool for all beginning guitar students

Notebusters was created by an experienced music teacher who was dissatisfied with the lack of note reading practice in typical music theory books. Without properly learning how to sight-read, students can stagnate and lose motivation. Our workbooks address this gap with months of note-reading exercises that help music students quickly identify notes.

80 note-reading exercises broken into 2 sections that get progressively harder

Each one-minute exercise contains 25 notes for the student to identify. Both sections includes clear instructions and an easily accessible answer key. After every five exercises, students are challenged to play the notes from that day’s exercise on the guitar. Notebusters’ workbooks also contain a brief overview of the most common note-reading methods. After completing the workbook, students will have identified 2,000 music notes. A sample exercise from Section 1 of the workbook is shown below:
