Master over 30 music notes on both the treble and bass staff
Notebusters: Complete Edition helps beginning and intermediate music students improve their ability to read and play sheet music through timed exercises and repetition. The workbook covers over 30 notes on both staves and is printed on 8.5 x 11 inch paper, similar to the size of standard sheet music.
A must-have supplemental tool for all beginning and intermediate music students
Notebusters was created by an experienced music teacher who was dissatisfied with the lack of note reading practice in typical music theory books. Without properly learning how to sight-read, students can stagnate and lose motivation. Our workbooks address this gap with months of note-reading exercises that help music students quickly identify notes.
240 note-reading exercises broken into 6 sections that get progressively harder
The Complete Edition contains 240 note-reading exercises with 6,000 music notes to identify. Nearly as thick as a quarter, this note-reading workbook will keep music students busy for months.
Music note-reading exercises are broken into 6 sections that cover an increasing range of notes as the student progresses. The first three sections cover on-staff notes that appear on the treble, bass, and grand staves. The final three sections cover notes both on and off-staff (ledger line notes).
Each one-minute exercise in Notebusters: Complete Edition contains 24-25 music notes for the student to identify. Every section includes clear instructions and an easily accessible answer key. After every five exercises, students are challenged to play the notes from that day’s exercise on their instrument of choice. Notebusters’ workbooks also contain a brief overview of the most common note-reading methods.
Add Notebusters: Beginner Piano to further cement note-reading skills for beginning pianists
Create a solid foundation for new piano students by combining Notebusters: Beginner Piano with Notebusters: Complete Edition.
Beginner Piano contains 80 easy note-reading exercises that will ensure new musicians lock in the most critical notes before being further challenged by over 30 notes on the treble, bass, and grand staves in the Complete Edition.
